Bob was a member of the VFW, active in the Honor Guard, and was very proud of his service in the Air Force.īob was an avid Buffalo Bills fan, and you could hear him yelling at the TV through every game whether they were winning or losing. He was an active member in the Methodist Church where he served on the board and taught Sunday school. He later took a job at Valley Rural Telephone as a Telephone Combination Man where he devoted 32 years.īob was a man of great faith. With wife and daughter in tow, he moved to Glasgow, Montana where he accepted a job with AVCO at the former Glasgow AFB as a machine repairman. In June of 1969, he was honorably discharged from the US Air Force. Shortly after, his unit was assigned temporary duty in Okinawa and South Korea where he served for nearly seven months. He graduated in June 1966 as a jet mechanic and reported to Malmstrom AFB in Great Falls, Montana where he met the love of his life, Dianna Kittleson. Bob entered the Air Force in February 1966 where he was assigned to Sheppard AFB, Texas for training in Jet Aircraft Mechanics. He then graduated from Emerson Vocational High School in 1965.
